Argus is the third studio album by British progressive rock band Wishbone Ash, originally released in April 1972 via MCA and Decca Records.

Argus is the most popular Wishbone Ash album and widely considered their greatest by fans and reviewers. The album features a blend of Progressive Rock, Folk, and Hard Rock and is considered a landmark album in the progression of twin-lead guitar harmonisation, later adopted by bands such as Thin Lizzy, Judas Priest and Iron Maiden.

This third album from 1972 features the classic line up of Andy Powell on guitars (Gibson Flying V) and vocals, Ted Turner on guitars (Fender Stratocaster) and vocals, Martin Turner on bass and vocals and Steve Upton on drums.

The album cover was designed by Storm Thorgerson and Aubrey "Po" Powell of the album cover design company Hipgnosis, and it features a warrior overlooking a landscape at the Gorges du Verdon in Provence, France as a spaceship emerges.

This album is a 2026 reissue on black vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve, pressed in Europe via MCA Records and Universal Recordings.
