Gods Of The Earth is the second studio album by American heavy metal band The Sword, originally released in March 2008 via Kemado Records.

The highly anticipated sophomore album from the Sword has arrived. With Gods Of The Earth, The Sword prepares to build upon the foundation they laid with their critically acclaimed debut age of winters and will continue to lead modern day metal's forward charge.

Recorded at Folkvang Studios in Austin, TX, Gods Of The Earth instantly conveys what words can only try to describe: The Sword is not to be taken lightly. From the moment the album's lead track "The Sundering" explodes, it is immediately apparent that the Sword has upped the ante on a sound all its own.

More ambitious, more accomplished and simply bigger. Gods Of The Earth’s huge, mountaintop-friendly hooks, thunderous drumming and oceanic bass lines cut through the air like a scythe, while the ominous vocals of front man J.D. Cronise weave fantastical tales rife with myth and mythology.

To celebrate the 15th anniversary of Gods of the Earth, The Sword presents a newly remixed and remastered edition of their seminal second album on limited Pyrite color vinyl.

Each song has been remixed from the original recording sessions by engineer J. Robbins and the LP is housed in a deluxe mirror board jacket with printed inner sleeve and download card.

This album is a 2023 Record Store Day limited edition of 4600 copies on "Pyrite" gold and black galaxy coloured vinyl housed in a reflective mirror board jacket with a printed inner sleeve and download, pressed in the US via Kemado Records.
