Pete Cornelius Band - Doing Me Good

Doing Me Good is the fourth studio album by Australian blues musician Pete Cornelius, released in January 2019 via Only Blues Music.

Pete Cornelius grew up as far away from the Delta heartland as is almost possible. He has never picked cotton, never hitched a ride on a freight train, nor traded with the Devil. Not knowingly, anyway. Yet the Tasmanian is one of the most experienced young bluesman in the country, with more live shows and festival appearances, album releases & awards under his belt than most performers twice his age.

Doing Me Good is the new release from the Pete Cornelius Band. Recorded live to tape at Pete’s Elephant Room Studio in St. Marys, Tasmania over a few sesions during the colder months of 2018.s

This album features all original material collected over the years since his triumphant 2013 album, Groundswel. The eleven songs have a deep feeling of ease and contentment as Pete continues to find his flow, writing and performing.

Pete Cornelius Band consists of long-term members: Simon Holmes (bass, vocals), Beau Thomas (drums, vocals), and Pete Cornelius (guitars, multiple instruments, lead vocals). Pete produced, recorded and mixed the entire album.

Doing Me Good also features collaborations with some of Tasmania’s finest musicians, including Claire Anne Taylor, Ange Boxal, Danny Healy and Randal Muir.
