Fleetwood Mac - Greatest Hits

Greatest Hits is a compilation album by British-American rock band Fleetwood Mac, originally released in November 1988 via Warner Bros. Records.

Serving as a document of the Buckingham/Nicks/McVie led incarnation of Fleetwood Mac, Greatest Hits offers nearly every hit single from the super group. Sequencing is top priority when it comes to compilation albums and Greatest Hits successfully balances its songs.

There are a few major hits that are left out, "Love In Store" and "Seven Wonders" namely to make room for two new songs, but from beginning to end it does it's darnedest to give you nearly every hit single from the pop/rock masters.

The two new songs are, "As Long As You Follow" and "No Questions Asked". "As Long As You Follow" is the strongest of the two, with its smoky backroom harmonies and became a hit in its own right, but "No Questions Asked" does have it's moments with Stevie Nicks' sensual and punchy delivery.

Overall, Greatest Hits serves as a fine document of the most successful line-up of a near perfect band. Fleetwood Mac's harmonies are great, their vocalists are great, Fleetwood Mac is great.

This album is a 2020 reissue on black vinyl housed in a single pocket sleeve with a printed inner sleeve, pressed in Europe via Warner Records.
