EOB - Earth

Earth is the debut solo studio album by Radiohead guitarist Ed O’Brien (EOB), released in April 2020 via Capitol Records.

Ed O'Brien is an English guitarist and member of the alternative rock band Radiohead. O'Brien makes extensive use of effects units to create atmospheric sounds and textures with his guitars, and provides backing vocals.

Ed’s songs were brought to life on Earth by a diverse and stellar array of musicians including an appearance by O’Brien’s Radiohead bandmate Colin Greenwood (bass), Portishead guitarist Adrian Utley, Wilco drummer Glenn Kotche, drum legend Omar Hakim, masterful bass player Nathan East, Laura Marling, David Okumu (guitar) of The Invisible, Adam ‘Cecil’ Bartlett, Richie Kennedy, Marcelo S. Silva, Flood and Catherine Marks.

The album was produced by Flood (Mark Ellis) and Catherine Marks.

The album has received favourable reviews and many have called out “Cloak of the Night” as a standout track featuring a vocal duet by both EOB and Laura Marling, “a gut wrenching highlight”.

This album is on 180 gram black vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve, pressed in Europe via Capitol Records.
