Coldplay - Music Of The Spheres

Music Of The Spheres is the ninth studio album by British rock band Coldplay, released in October 2021 via Parlophone Records.

Coldplay formed in London in 1996 comprising Chris Martin (vocals, piano), Jonny Buckland (guitars), Guy Berryman (bass) and Will Champion (drums).

The band announced the Max Martin-produced album Music Of The Spheres on Instagram via a handwritten note alongside an album trailer which combines an animated cosmic journey through the album’s planetary artwork with short clips of the album’s twelve tracks.

The band’s note also seemed to hint at further sci-fi themes with the phrase 'Everyone is an alien somewhere'.

In May, the band released “Higher Power” - the first single from Music Of The Spheres - which has been streamed more than 160 million times. The band’s note also revealed the release of an album track called “Coloratura” followed by the single “My Universe” in September. The band also revealed the full album tracklisting - with five of the twelve tracks represented by emojis.

The album was produced by Swedish musician and producer Max Martin and features guest appearances from Selena Gomez, We Are King, Jacob Collier and BTS, as well as returning contributions from electronic producer Jon Hopkins.

This album is on 140 gram recycled coloured vinyl housed in a die cut single pocket sleeve with fold out insert, printed lyric and credits booklet and download code, pressed in Germany via Parlophone Records.
