Yes - Fragile

Fragile is the fourth studio album by the British progressive rock band Yes, originally released November 1971 via Atlantic Records.

Fragile is the band’s first album recorded with keyboardist Rick Wakeman, who had replaced Tony Kaye earlier in the year.

Comprising nine tracks, four are group performances while the remaining five are solo features written by each member. The album cover artwork was designed by Roger Dean, who would design their future band logo, stage sets, and many of their future album covers.

Fragile received a positive reception and was a commercial and critical success, reaching No. 4 on the US Billboard Top LPs chart and No. 7 on the UK Album Chart.

Billboard selected the album for its Billboard Pick feature describing it as "vibrant, soothing, tumultuous, placid and instrumentally brilliant" and Anderson's vocals "deliciously ingratiating". Rolling Stone pointed out the album's "gorgeous melodies, intelligent, carefully crafted, constantly surprising arrangements, concise and energetic performances" and "cryptic but evocative lyrics".

Fragile was Yes’ breakthrough album, featuring some of their best known tracks including “Roundabout”, “Long Distance Runaround”, and “Heart Of The Sunrise”.

This album is a 2025 limited edition reissue of the Steven Wilson 2015 remix on green coloured vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with alternate cover artwork, pressed in Germany via Atlantic Records.
