Opeth - Heritage

Heritage is the tenth studio album by Swedish progressive metal band Opeth, originally released in September 2011 via Roadrunner Records.

Opeth have long been hailed as "thinking man's metal" always innovative, pushing the boundaries of what rock and metal is to what it can be. With nine critically acclaimed studio albums to their name there are few bands that have consistently outdone themselves as Opeth have.

Never content to rely on a formula and never afraid to challenge their audience, their tenth studio album, "Heritage", leaps ahead of the progressive transitions made between previous albums, the heavy death style vocal put aside in favour of Mikael's heartfelt and sometimes folk laden melodic vocal.

Produced by Opeth and Porcupine Tree's Steven Wilson this is an album that requires multiple listens and will have audiophiles salivating at the warm and earthy tones that are captured on Heritage.
