In The Court Of The Crimson King is the debut studio album by progressive rock band King Crimson, originally released in October 1969 via Island Records.
This album is one of the most influential progressive rock albums combining blues influences with jazz, classical and symphonic music elements.
Members of King Crimson that made this album were:
- Robert Fripp – electric and acoustic guitars
- Michael Giles – drums, percussion, backing vocals
- Greg Lake – lead vocals, bass guitar
- Ian McDonald – woodwinds (saxophone, flute, clarinet, bass clarinet), keyboards (Mellotron, harpsichord, piano, organ), vibraphone, backing vocals
- Peter Sinfield – lyrics, illumination
This album is a Robert Fripp approved 2021 repress on 200 gram black vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve, pressed in Europe via Discipline Global Mobile, Panegyric and Inner Knot.
