John Butler - PRISM

PRISM is a solo studio album by Australian singer songwriter John Butler, released in September 2025 via Jarrah Records.

John Butler's PRISM is his first solo album, a cathartic and personal exploration of themes like love, death, politics, and redemption, marking a significant new phase after leaving the John Butler Trio moniker.

The album showcases a "fully band sound" but was crafted as a solo project, representing a "full bandwidth of human emotion" and the culmination of Butler's introspection and artistic growth. Butler and uber producer James Ireland (POND, San Cisco), both sharing instrumentation and production responsibilities.

On PRISM, Butler laces his deeply personal tales with an epic soundscape and

reclaims his classic groove-laden force, brimming with fierce guitars, robust percussion, and meteoric choruses.

There are radio-friendly earworms that will generate instant festival singalongs, mosh pit frenzied rock outs, and soulful ballads that are as pensive as they are stirring.

This double album 2LP record set is a limited edition first pressing on yellow (LP1) and blue (LP2) coloured vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves, pressed in Australia via Jarrah Records and MGM.
