Helloween - Pink Bubbles Go Ape

Pink Bubbles Go Ape is fourth studio album by German power metal band Helloween, originally released in March 1991 via EMI Records.

This album was the first to feature new guitarist Roland Grapow following the departure of founding member Kai Hansen and the first album to be released after signing a new record deal with EMI Records.

Their former record label sued the band for breach of contract which effectively put the band on hold with the album released initially in Europe and Japan, however the release in their home country of Germany and the rest of the world, it was delayed until April 1992. In addition the band was unable to tour in support of the album during this period.

Tensions rose within the band during this period and with the recording of the album, where the band moved from its speed metal roots to embrace more of the hard rocking sound of the band.

As a result of this, the album performed poorly commercially reaching #32 on the German and #41 on the UK albums charts.

This album is a 30^th Anniversary limited edition reissue on pink with black splatter coloured vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve, pressed in Europe via Sanctuary Records and BMG.
