Careless Whisper is a single by British singer songwriter George Michael, originally released in July 1984 via Epic Records.

Hailed as a pop masterpiece, it topped the charts in 25 countries when it was released in 1984. The track has since been certified multiple times Platinum around the world.

The song was released as the second single from Wham’s second studio album Make It Big and was written by George Michael and Andrew Ridgeley.

Although the song was released as part of Make It Big, the single release is credited to either Wham! featuring George Michael (in North America and several other countries) or solely to George Michael (in the United Kingdom, Ireland, and some nations in Europe).

A contemporary pop song with R&B and soul influences, it features a prominent saxophone riff composed by Michael and played by Steve Gregory.

With sales of over 11 million copies worldwide it is one of the best selling songs of all time.

This 12” single is a 40^th Anniversary limited edition on ruby red marble coloured vinyl at 45 RPM housed in a single pocket sleeve with half speed mastered audio from the original tapes, pressed in Europe via Aegean and Sony Music.
