The Bitter Truth is the fifth studio album by American rock band Evanescence, released in March 2021 via BMG in the US and Sony Music in Europe.

The Bitter Truth includes the epic tracks ‘Wasted on You’, ‘Use My Voice’, ‘The Game Is Over’, ‘Yeah Right’ and new single ‘Better Without You’.

Evanescence's new album is the first containing all new material in nearly a decade, and gives fans more of the heavy, vocal-driven, and expertly-orchestrated rock and roll for which Evanescence is known.

The Bitter Truth takes its foundation in the epic, signature sound that has earned Evanescence two Grammy awards and more than 23 million album sales worldwide beginning with their landmark debut album Fallen (2003), and blends it with the thought- provoking lyrics, musical sophistication, and heavy themes that Amy Lee has become known for.

Producer Nick Raskulinecz (Foo Fighters, Rush, Deftones) has been tracking with the band in Nashville since late January.

This double album 2LP record set is on black vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves, pressed in Europe via Columbia Records.
