Dune Rats - If It Sucks, Turn It Up

If It Sucks, Turn It Up is the fifth studio album by Australian rock band Dune Rats, released in August 2024 via BMG.

Dune Rats are from Brisbane, Queensland, forming in 2010 initially as a duo and now a three piece band comprising Danny Bues (lead vocals, guitars), BC Michaels (drums) and Brett Jansch (bass). Their debut album Dune Rats was released in 2014, followed by The Kids Will Know It’s Bullshit in 2017, Hurry Up And Wait in 2020 and Real Rare Whale in 2022.

If It Sucks, Turn It Up features singles "Be Like You" and "Solar Eyes," the album's sounds are born from a combination of the album muse, Regurgitator's ‘UNIT’, and their drive to keep evolving and having fun with their music, especially on the stage.

If It Sucks, Turn It Up is a rollercoaster of good times, hard truths, 90's nostalgia, and stoner pop fuzzy goodness.

Guitarist Danny Beus said: "We wanted to make an album that throws you around a bit, like you are being washed around in the surf. We're five albums in now so we knew it should be a record that shows all the different sides to the band”.

This album is on lemon yellow coloured vinyl housed in a single pocket sleeve with a plain white polylined inner sleeve, pressed in Australia via BMG.
