The Smith Street Band - Once I Was Wild

Once I Was Wild is the seventh studio album by Australian punk rock band The Smith Street Band, released in November 2025 via Pool House Records.

The Smith Street Band return with their highly anticipated seventh album, Once I Was Wild, out Friday November 21 via Pool House Records & Remote Control Records. Featuring 'This Is It' & 'Star Child'.

The album was recorded once again at the band's own solar-powered Bush House Studios in regional Victoria. For the first time, they worked in-studio with their longtime live sound engineer Joel Taylor. The record was mixed by Anton Hagop (Silverchair, Powderfinger, Missy Higgins) and mastered by George Georgiadis (Gang of Youths, Alex Lahey).

Since forming in 2010, The Smith Street Band have carved out a singular space in Australian music-combining raucous punk spirit with raw emotional storytelling. From their ARIA #1 record Don't Waste Your Anger to 2022's Life After Football (triple j Feature Album), the band has continued to evolve while fiercely maintaining their independence through Pool House Records.
