The Rolling Stones - Hackney Diamonds

Hackney Diamonds is the twenty fourth (British) studio album by British rock band The Rolling Stones, released in October 2023 via Rolling Stones and Polydor Records.

Following the release of 2016's Grammy Award winning Blue & Lonesome, which featured brilliant versions of blues tracks that helped shape their sound, Hackney Diamonds marks the band's first studio album of original material since 2005's A Bigger Bang.

The album features guest contributions from Elton John, Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Stevie Wonder, and former bandmate Bill Wyman.

The album is also the first released since the passing of drummer Charlie Watts in 2021, who contributed drums to two tracks from earlier recording sessions in 2019. Steve Jordan who has stepped into Charlie’s shoes to play drums on their recent live shows, plays drums on the new album.

The album's name is London slang for the shattered glass left behind after burglars have smashed a window to break in, Hackney being an inner-city area of London associated with high crime rates.

The album was produced by Andrew Watt and has received critical acclaim with many calling the album the band’s strongest in decades.

This album is an indie record stores exclusive edition on 180 gram “diamond” crystal clear coloured vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with a printed inner sleeve and plain black polylined inner sleeve, pressed in Europe via Polydor.
