Sheppard - Bombs Away

Bombs Away is the debut studio album by Australian indie pop band Sheppard, originally released in July 2014 via Empire Of Song.

Sheppard started out in 2009 as a duo by siblings George and Amy Sheppard, who both play keyboards and write songs. In 2011 Jay Bovino joined the band as a songwriter and guitarist, and their younger sister Emma on bass and Dean Gordon on drums, completed the line-up.

Bombs Away includes the singles "Geronimo", "Something's Missing", "Smile", "Let Me Down Easy" and "A Grade Playa". Bombs Away was released outside Australia through Decca Records in 2015.

The album debuted at number two on the ARIA Albums Chart and was certified gold by the Australian Recording Industry Association for shipments exceeding 35,000 copies.

All the songs on the album were written by Sheppard members George Sheppard, Amy Sheppard and Jay Bovino. The album was produced, mixed and mastered by Stuart Stuart at Analog Heart Studios, Brisbane.

The lead single, "Geronimo", was the first number one single in Australia to be recorded in Brisbane.

This album is a 2023 reissue on 180 gram black vinyl housed in a single pocket sleeve, pressed in Australia via Empire Of Song and Chugg Music.
