Ocean Alley - Chiaroscuro

Chiaroscuro is the second studio album by Australian psychedelic rock band Ocean Alley, originally released in March 2018 via Unified.

Ocean Alley formed on the Northern Beaches, Sydney, Australia in 2011 and comprise Baden Donegal (vocals, guitar), Angus Goodwin (lead guitar), Lach Galbraith (keyboard, vocals), Mitch Galbraith (guitar), Nic Blom (bass) and Tom O'Brien (drums).

Ocean Alley continue to solidify their place as one of Australia’s most exciting independent bands, announcing their sophomore album Chiaroscuro released on 9 March 2020.

The album featured the singles “The Comedown” (#48 triple j’s Hottest 100 2018) and “Overgrown”, along with new single “Confidence” which is a melting pot of pure groove.

The album debuted at #15 on the Australian ARIA albums chart, eventually peaking at #11, and was placed at #25 on the 2018 year-end Australian albums charts. In December 2018, the album was voted at #2 on triple j's Top 10 Albums of 2018.

Six singles were released from the album. Ocean Alley also received an ARIA nomination for ‘Song of the Year’ with “Confidence”.

Ocean Alley are celebrating 5 years of their hit debut record ‘Chiaroscuro’ with this one off pressing for Record Store Day 2023. This iconic album has truly become a mainstay for many fans and features Hottest 100 topping track “Confidence”. Limited to 1000 units.

This double album 2LP record set is a limited edition 2023 Record Store Day reissue of 1000 copies on translucent orange coloured vinyl at 45 RPM housed in a gatefold sleeve, pressed in Australia via Unified.
