Jonsi - Shiver

Shiver is the second studio album by Icelandic musician Jónsi, released in October 2020 via Krunk.

Jónsi is the vocalist and multi-instrumentalist for the Icelandic post-rock band Sigur Rós. He is known for his use of a cello bow on guitar and his falsetto or countertenor voice. Apart from Sigur Rós, Jónsi also performs together with his partner Alex Somers as an art collaboration called Jónsi & Alex.

Shiver was produced by PC Music founder A. G. Cook.

Shiver plumbs the depths of the human experience and our connection to the natural world. It pits the organic and dreamlike qualities of Jónsi against A. G. Cook’s synthetic, sometimes abrasive, and avant-garde experimentalism.

The album has eleven tracks and features a largely electronic musical palette, differing from the music Jónsi has created in the past. The album was supported by the release of four singles "Exhale", "Swill", "Cannibal" and "Salt Licorice".

Shiver features collaborations with Scottish singer and vocalist of the band Cocteau Twins, Elizabeth Fraser, and Swedish singer Robyn.

This double album 2LP record set is on 180 gram audiophile heavyweight black vinyl housed in a spot varnished gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves, pressed in Europe via Krunk.
