Hilltop Hoods - State Of The Art

State Of The Art is the fifth studio album by Australian hip hop trio Hilltop Hoods, originally released in June 2009 via Golden Era Records.

State Of The Art follows their ARIA award winning album The Hard Road (2006) and the remix version of this album The Hard Road: Restrung (2007). The first single released from the album was “Chase That Feeling”, which was nominated for an ARIA ‘single of the year’ award. Two further singles were released “Still Standing” and “The Light You Burned”. The first song on the album “The Return” is about how long it had been since they released an album.

The album debuted at #1 on the ARIA albums charts and has sold more than 140,000 copies.

This album was the first released with their own record label, Golden Era Records. To promote the new album, the band started a national tour in July 2009 and performed at most major cities including state capitals. The second national tour in 2009 started in November with support provided by Vents.

This double album 2LP record set is a 2025 reissue on heavyweight black vinyl at 45 RPM housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves, pressed in Europe via Hilltop Hoods and Island Records.
