I Love You So F***ing Much is the fourth studio album by British psychedelic pop band Glass Animals, released in July 2024 via Polydor Records.
Glass Animals are an English psychedelic pop band formed in Oxford in 2010, who are led by singer, songwriter, and producer Dave Bayley. The group also features his childhood friends Joe Seaward, Ed Irwin-Singer and Drew MacFarlane.
I Love You So F***ing Much is the follow-up to 2020’s critically revered Dreamland, which sold over 12 million copies globally and gave life to ‘Heat Waves’, the record-breaking song that became the biggest international hit from a British band in almost 30 years. It was the first song to reach #1 with a single writer and producer since Pharell’s ‘Happy,’ and led to the pop world’s biggest acts, including Florence Welch, all wanting to work with Glass Animals frontman, songwriter and producer, Dave Bayley.
The album was partly inspired by the success of "Heat Waves" in 2020, with frontman Dave Bayley saying that "sometimes you aren't able to change as quickly on a personal level". He explained that success can leave one feeling like a "spectator" with accompanying expectations to act a certain way, which "confused (him) to the point of not knowing who (he) was or if anything was real". The title is about the power and mystery of human connection in a universe that "may make us feel overwhelmingly small". Bayley also explained that the lead single "Creatures in Heaven" is about "a moment in time... having the capacity to be enormously formative and life-changing".
This album is on black vinyl housed in a single pocket sleeve with a printed inner sleeve, pressed in Europe via Polydor Records.
