Everything But The Girl - Fuse

Fuse is the eleventh studio album by British musical duo Everything But The Girl, released in April 2023 via Buzzin’ Fly and Virgin Records.

Everything But The Girl (EBTG) was formed in 1982 by singer-songwriter musicians Tracey Thorn and Ben Watt. Their debut single was a stark jazz-folk cover of Cole Porter's “Night And Day”. Acclaimed for their tender-tough lyrics, Thorn’s unique voice and Watt’s arrangements, they released a string of UK gold albums throughout the 1980s experimenting with jazz, guitar pop, orchestral wall- of-sound and drum-machine soul.

In November 2022 EBTG announced they had recorded a new studio album - the first for over two decades - set for release in spring 2023.

Fuse is their first studio album in almost 24 years following Temperamental (1999). The album was preceded by the single "Nothing Left to Lose" (released January 2023), followed by "Caution to the Wind", "Run a Red Light", and "No One Knows We're Dancing", in February, March, and April 2023 respectively.

The album contains a mix of electronic and acoustic tracks, with a statement describing it as a "modern take on the lustrous electronic soul" that the duo produced before their 2000 hiatus.

The album has received universal acclaim upon its release.

This album is on black vinyl housed in a single pocket sleeve with four page fold out lyric insert and credits insert, pressed in Germany via Buzzin’ Fly and Virgin Records.
