Eagles - Eagles Greatest Hits Volume 2

Greatest Hits Volume 2 is the second greatest hits compilation album by American rock group Eagles, originally released in November 1982 via Asylum Records.

Their second hits album featured songs not included on their first hits album Their Greatest Hits 1971 – 1975, which has gone onto become the biggest selling Greatest Hits album of all time.

The album was released after the band's breakup in 1980, after which members of the band pursued solo projects with Joe Walsh releasing There Goes The Neighbourhood in 1981 and Don Henley and Glenn Frey both releasing their debut solo albums in 1982.

This compilation features eight combined tracks from Hotel California and The Long Run. Also included is "After the Thrill Is Gone", an album track from One of These Nights. That song, with its title that summed up the state of the band at the time, was strategically placed as the last track on Eagles Greatest Hits Volume 2.

"Seven Bridges Road", the single from 1980's Eagles Live, rounds out the album, which has sold over 11 million copies in the U.S. since its release.

This album is a 2024 reissue on 180 gram black vinyl housed in a single pocket sleeve with a printed insert and remastered audio, pressed in Germany via Asylum Records.
