The Love Still Held Me Near is the seventh studio album by Canadian musician City And Colour, released in March 2023 via Still Records and Dine Alone Records.

City And Colour is a solo side project by Canadian musician and singer-songwriter Dallas Green who is a member of the post hardcore band Alexisonfire.

Tragedy has a way of bringing out the best in songwriters. That's certainly the case for Dallas Green (Alexisonfire) on The Love Still Held Me Near, his seventh studio album under the moniker City and Colour.

Produced by Green and long-time band member and collaborator Matt Kelly, the twelve-track set is arguably the most sonically aggressive and stylistically expansive outing in the City and Colour canon.

It comes from what Green acknowledges was the most difficult time in his life.
