Tones And I - The Kids Are Coming

The Kids Are Coming is the debut EP by Australian singer Tones And I, released in August 2019 via Bad Batch Records and Sony Music.

Originally from Australia’s Mornington Peninsula, breakout Australian superstar Tones And I journeyed to Byron Bay in early 2018 to take a chance at busking. On the first day she had crowds spilling onto the street. Tones quit her retail job and decided to make Byron her new home where she lived out of her van for the year.

Tones’ first single “Johnny Run Away” was released on 1 March 2019 and is certified Platinum, as is her second single “Dance Monkey” which also reached #1 on the Australian ARIA singles chart. Tones And I is the first Australian female solo artist since 2015 to reach the coveted top spot, and the first Australian artist this year to claim #1.

Tones’ new single “Never Seen the Rain” had its world premiere on triple j gaining raved reviews. The song highlights her hugely impressive vocal ability and unique talent for songwriting. The single was released with the announcement of her debut EP The Kids Are Coming, released on 30 August 2019.

Recently Tones broke records for the biggest crowd of an opening act ever at Splendour In The Grass with 20,000 punters coming to watch her midday set.
