Tina Turner - Foreign Affair

Foreign Affair is the seventh solo studio by American singer Tina Turner, originally released in September 1989 via Capitol Records.

Foreign Affair was Tina Turner’s third studio album since her dramatic global resurgence, following the monumental success of Private Dancer (1984) and Break Every Rule (1986), as well as her lead role in Mad Max Beyond Thunderdome movie in 1985.

Foreign Affair went on to be a multi-platinum record across the world, including UK, Germany, Switzerland, Canada, Australia, and many more countries. In the UK alone, the album sold over 1.5 million copies entering the UK Albums Chart at number one (Turner's first album to do so there) and staying in Top 100 album charts for a year and a half.

The biggest track to come from the album was the 1980s anthem, “The Best”. The track continues to transcend generations, with one of the most recognisable choruses in music history. On top of “The Best,” the album is complimented by several Turner favourites, such as “Steamy Windows”, “I Don’t Wanna Lose You”, and the title track, “Foreign Affair’” and the ballad “Be Tender With My Baby”.

This double album 2LP record set is a 2021 reissue on black vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves and remastered audio, pressed in Europe via Parlophone Records.
