To Our Children’s Children’s Children is the fifth studio album by British progressive rock band The Moody Blues, originally released in November 1969 via Threshold Records.

The Moody Blues first came to prominence playing rhythm and blues music, but their second album, Days of Future Passed, which was released in 1967, was a fusion of rock with classical music and established them as pioneers in the development of art rock and progressive rock. It has been described as a "landmark" and "one of the first successful concept albums". They became known internationally with singles including “Go Now”, “Nights in White Satin”, “Tuesday Afternoon” and “Question”. They have been awarded 18 platinum and gold discs. Their album sales total 70 million.

The classic band line-up settled in late 1966 with Justin Hayward (vocals, guitars), John Lodge (vocals, bass), Graeme Edge (drums, vocals), Ray Thomas (flute, harmonica, percussion, vocals) and Mike Pinder (vocals, keyboards).

To Our Children's Children's Children is a concept album inspired by the first moon landing.

The opening track "Higher And Higher" saw Pinder simulate a rocket blast-off on keyboards, then narrate Edge's lyrics. Thomas' "Floating" and "Eternity Road" stood out, as did Hayward's "Gypsy" and a rare Pinder-Lodge collaboration "Out And In". Lodge provided his two-part "Eyes Of A Child" and "Candle Of Life" while Pinder contributed "Sun Is Still Shining". The album closed with "Watching And Waiting", composed by Ray Thomas and Justin Hayward and sung by Hayward.

The Moody Blues formed their own record label in 1969, Threshold Records, which was distributed in the UK via Decca and in the US via London Records. The intention was to allow the band to release their albums in artistically designed gatefold sleeves and as a vehicle for the band members to release their solo work. To Our Children’s Children’s Children was the first Moody Blues album to be released on their new record label.

The album reached #2 on the UK and #14 on the US Billboard 200 albums charts.

This album is a 2018 reissue on 180 gram black vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with download code, pressed in Europe via Threshold Records.
