The Cranberries - Dreams: The Collection

Dreams: The Collection is a compilation album by Irish rock band The Cranberries, originally released in 2012 via Spectrum Music.

The Cranberries were an Irish rock band formed in Limerick in 1989 by lead singer Niall Quinn, guitarist Noel Hogan, bassist Mike Hogan, and drummer Fergal Lawler. Quinn was replaced as lead singer by Dolores O'Riordan in 1990.

The band had released four EPs prior to the release of their debut album in March 1993 Everybody Else Is Doing It, So Why Can't We?, which eventually broke through to top the UK album charts on the back of the success of singles “Dreams” and “Linger” which had received considerable airplay on MTV.

Their second album No Need To Argue released in October 1994 took the band to another level, with four singles released from the album, with “Zombie” being the most successful single, topping the charts in several countries, including Australia.

The band went on to release seven studio albums before the untimely passing of lead singer Dolores O’Riorden in January 2018. Their eighth and final studio album In The End was released in April 2019, posthumously, with demos of her vocals from the songs that she was working on at the time of her passing with Noel Hogan.

Dolores had a unique singing voice and stage presence, and was a fabulous front person for the band. Their live shows were energetic and backed up the quality of their studio recordings and catalogue of songs.

This compilation album was originally released on Compact Disc in 2012 with 20 songs and is being released for the first time on vinyl in 2020 with eleven of some of their best known songs curated for this vinyl release.
