Answered Prayers is a single by Australian rock band Hoodoo Gurus, released in June 2020 via Big Time Records.

The Hoodoo Gurus formed in Sydney in 1981 by the mainstay Dave Faulkner (songwriter, lead singer and guitarist) and later joined by Richard Grossman (bass), Mark Kingsmill (drums), and Brad Shepherd (guitar, vocals, harmonica).

“Answered Prayers” is the first new recording in over five years from Australia's legendary Hoodoo Gurus.

Boasting biting lyricism, powerful riffage and pounding drums, the track has been rapturously received by fans and it is being released on a limited 7” vinyl single, housed in a full colour sleeve.

The single is backed by “Song Of The Year”; a frenetic dose of punk. The track was written (and sung) by Gurus guitarist Brad Shepherd and was one of the alternative tracks only available on the US version of Hoodoo Gurus' 2004 Mach Schau album.

This limited edition 7” single is on black vinyl housed in a picture sleeve with outer PVC sleeve, pressed in Australia via Big Time.
