Silverchair - Frogstomp

Frogstomp is the debut studio album by Australian rock band Silverchair, originally released in March 1995 via Murmur Records.

Recorded in just nine days, guitarist and vocalist Daniel Johns, bassist Chris Joannou and drummer Ben Gillies were only 15 years of age when the album was released in 1995.

Silverchair recorded a fantastic album, in which they show that even young teenagers know how to rock. In the tradition of Pearl Jam and Nirvana, they recorded an album sounding like Stone Temple Pilots. Daniel Johns is not only a great vocalist, but also a good guitar player, both playing slow as fast songs. This is definitely one of the best efforts you can make when you're still this young. And even now fifteen years after its release, it still sounds fresh and fantastic.

Frogstomp reached #1 on Australian ARIA albums chart and was their first of five studio albums to do so.

Frogstomp features Silverchair's debut hit single "Tomorrow", which spent six weeks on top of the Australian singles charts and is now 3x platinum. The album also features the singles “Israel's Son", "Pure Massacre", and "Shade".

This double album 2LP record set is a 2022 reissue limited edition of 10,000 individually numbered copies on 180 gram audiophile crystal clear coloured vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with leather laminate finish, printed inner sleeves, full colour frog prints on Side D, pressed in Europe via Music On Vinyl.
