Queen - Greatest Hits

Greatest Hits is the first compilation album by English rock band Queen, originally released in October 1981 via Parlophone Records.

This album has shifted over 25 million copies, and shows the band in all their glory. It is all of their singles and songs that every Queen fan must have heard at some point. These songs are staples of radio and music show playlists, but there is no denying the power of the music and Mercury's incredible vocal register.

Greatest Hits covers the first stage of Queen’s career, spanning 1974’s “Seven Seas Of Rye” to (1980’s) “Flash”.

In amongst the songs that even your grandma knows (“Bohemian Rhapsody”, “We Will Rock You”, “Don’t Stop Me Now”) are a few gems that show exactly how weird Queen were for a mainstream rock group, such as the futuristic howling pomp-rock of “Now I’m Here”.

Only a fool would try and find fault with this compilation containing some of the mightiest statements the four-piece ever recorded. This is simplty an essential compilation.
