His ‘n’ Hers is the fourth studio album by British rock band Pulp, originally released in April 1984 via Island Records.
Pulp were an English rock band formed in Sheffield in 1978. Their best-known line-up from their heyday (1992–1997) consisted of Jarvis Cocker (vocals, guitar, keyboards), Candida Doyle (keyboards), Russell Senior (guitar, violin), Mark Webber (guitar, keyboards), Steve Mackey (bass) and Nick Banks (drums, percussion).
His ‘n’ Hers proved to be the band's breakthrough album, reaching number nine on the UK Albums Chart, and was nominated for the 1994 Mercury Music Prize. In 1998, Q magazine readers voted it the seventieth greatest album of all time, while it was placed at number 110 in the book Virgin All-Time Top 1000 Albums.
Three singles were released from the album; “Babies”, “Lipgloss” and “Do You Remember The First Time?”.
Lyrically, the album encompasses subjects for which Pulp were to become well known, including sexual encounters, social class and voyeurism.
This double album 2LP record set is a 2012 reissue on 180 gram audiophile black vinyl housed in gatefold sleeve with an 8 page booklet and 13 bonus tracks, pressed in Europe via Music On Vinyl.
