MGMT - Little Dark Age

Little Dark Age is the fourth studio album by American psychedelic rock band MGMT, released in February 2018 via Columbia Records.

MGMT return after more than a four year break since their last studio album, MGMT (2013) and the band return to their original template of melodic tunes and topical subjects driven with synth-pop overtones.

The album features a recent triple j favourite, “Little Dark Age”, as well as the well-received recently released singles “When You Die” and “Hand It Over”.

The band tap into contemporary issues such as smart phone usage on “TSLAMP”, and social media anxiety on the title track “Little Dark Age”.

Little Dark Age was produced by MGMT, Patrick Wimberly (Chairlift, Kelela, Blood Orange), and long-time collaborator Dave Fridmann (Flaming Lips, Spoon, Tame Impala).
