Melbourne Zoo is the debut studio album by Australian jazz, progressive rock fusion band Melbourne Zoo, released in November 2019 via Sorcerer Records.

Melbourne Zoo were a Melbourne-based jazz-fusion band who existed in the mid '70s and featured the likes of Shane Cleary (of cult progsters, It Flew Away) and a very young, teenager Paul Grabowsky (you probably know him) in the line-up. They gigged regularly during the period and gained a cult following, though never officially releasing any recordings.

This album has six tracks taken from the original studio tapes, released for the very first time. Heavily influenced by Mahavishnu Orchestra, Weather Report, Herbie Hancock, Frank Zappa, etc., this is awesome high energy jazz-rock and a fascinating glimpse into what could have been. A must for fans of obscure Australian jazz and prog from yesteryear.

This album is a limited edition of 300 copies on 180 gram white coloured vinyl with a printed inner sleeve, extensive liner notes and photos detailing their history, pressed in Australia via Sorcerer Records.
