His Greatest Hits Volume II is a compilation album by American country singer songwriter Johnny Cash, originally released in September 1971 via Columbia Records.
This greatest hits collection combines older songs from Cash's years with Sun Records ("Hey Porter" and "Folsom Prison Blues", among others) with more recent hits, such as "A Boy Named Sue" from Cash's At San Quentin album and the Kris Kristofferson-penned "Sunday Mornin' Comin' Down".
One of the songs from the Sun years "Big River", was released as a single when this album appeared in 1971, and made it to the Billboard Country Singles chart.
The 11 songs were compiled from 10 different albums and show the versatility of Johnny Cash as a musician.
This album is a 2020 reissue on 180 gram audiophile vinyl, pressed in Europe via Music On Vinyl.
