Eric Clapton - Rush (Soundtrack)

Rush is a soundtrack album by British blues musician Eric Clapton from the 1991 film Rush, originally released in January 1992 via Reprise Records and Duck Records.

The Rush soundtrack written and performed by Eric Clapton, and the album includes the song "Tears In Heaven", which won three Grammy awards in 1993.

The album was produced by Russ Titelman and legendary blues musician Buddy Guy featured on vocals and guitar on the track “Don’t Know Which Way To Go”. Other musicians who contributed to the recordings were Chuck Leavell, Nathan East, Lenny Castro, Steve Ferrone, and Greg Phillinganes.

In a review of the album, AllMusic wrote: "…This album has far more impact than you might expect from the score to a movie — there's a sense of the music here working something out in Clapton's heart, a sense given a lot of power thanks to the intense, heart-rending passion invoked by some of the turns taken here. At its best, Clapton's music can speak of the pain he feels — and Clapton has rarely been better than he is here...”.

The album reached #24 on the US Billboard 200 Albums chart.

This album is a 2018 Record Store Day limited edition of 3000 copies on black vinyl, pressed in Canada via Reprise Records.
