Orville Peck - Show Pony

Show Pony is an extended play by Canadian country music singer songwriter Orville Peck, released in August 2020 via Columbia Records.

Show Pony is the 2020 extended play and is the follow-up to his debut studio album Pony, released in March 2019.

The EP features six songs including a duet with fellow Canadian country vocalist Shania Twain, which they recorded just before the COVID-19 quarantine came into effect.

He explained in a statement: "I loved my experience with Pony. However, Show Pony is a more confident perspective and allows me to share even more both lyrically and musically. Like all country albums, Show Pony is a little collection of stories – some sad, some happy – and I am excited for people to hear it. Working with Shania was a dream come true, her music made me feel empowered as a kid and was a huge influence on me."

The EP has been met with critical acclaim with Metacritic aggregator scoring 88 out of 100 based on seven reviews.

This EP is a limited edition on purple coloured vinyl at 33 ⅓ RPM with a printed insert, pressed in Europe via Columbia Records.
