Disclosure - Energy

Energy is the third studio album by English electronic music duo Disclosure, released in August 2020 via Island Records.

Disclosure consists of brothers Howard and Guy Lawrence. Their debut studio album, Settle, was nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album at the 2014 Grammy Awards. They released a second studio album, Caracal, in 2015 which was also nominated for Best Dance/Electronica Album at the 2016 Grammy Awards. They headlined the Friday line-up on the "Other Stage" at the 2016 Glastonbury Festival in the United Kingdom.

Energy is the duos’ first studio album since Caracal in 2015 and features collaborations with several singer-songwriters, including Kelis, Channel Tres, Aminé, Slowthai, Mick Jenkins, Fatoumata Diawara, Blick Bassy, Kehlani, Syd, and Common.

Energy was released in the summer of 2020 due to its "positive messages" that Disclosure hoped would resonate with people during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The album received generally positive reviews from music critics, who complimented the duo's musical diversity and strong collaboration choices. Energy's sound has been described as house mixed with elements of dance, R&B, and international music such as African-influenced stylings.

This double album 2LP record set is on 180 gram heavyweight black vinyl housed in a gatefold sleeve with a download code, pressed in Europe via Island Records.
