Bruno Mars - Doo-Wops & Hooligans

Doo-Wops & Hooligans is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Bruno Mars, originally released in October 2010 via Elektra Records.

This album launched Bruno Mars' music career as a solo recording artist and the lead single "Just The Way You Are" topped the Singles charts in the US and other countries including Australia, UK and Canada.

The style of music on the album is pure pop with influences of R&B, soul, rock and reggae. The album is fun and very listenable with catchy hooks and melodies, providing the listener with a feel good experience.

This is one of "The Captain's" favourite pop albums released in recent years.

A total of four singles have been released from the album: "Just The Way You Are", "Grenade", "The Lazy Song", "Marry You and Count On Me". The song "Liquor Store Blues" features Damian Marley and showcases a reggae influence. "The Other Side" features Cee Lo Green and is a great song to close the album, leaving you wanting more after the needle reaches the end of the side.

This is a fantastic pop album and a great debut from a very talented singer and songwriter.

The album reached #3 on the US Billboard 200 Albums chart, #1 in the UK and #2 in Australia.
