Kaya is the 10th studio album by Jamaican reggae band Bob Marley and the Wailers, originally released in March 1978 via Island Records and Tuff Gong Records.

Bob Marley and the Wailers were originally formed as a ska vocalist when self-taught musician Hubert Winston McIntosh (Peter Tosh) met the singers Neville Livingston (Bunny Wailer), and Robert Nesta Marley (Bob Marley) in 1963, and were later joined by singers Junior Braithwaite, Beverley Kelso, and Cherry Smith.

By the early 1970s, Bob and Bunny had learned to play some instruments and brothers Carlton Barrett and Aston "Family Man" Barrett on drums and bass had joined what was now a reggae band. And after Bunny Wailer and Peter Tosh left the band in 1974, Bob Marley began touring with new band members, consisting of the Barrett brothers, Junior Marvin and Al Anderson on lead guitar, Tyrone Downie and Earl "Wya" Lindo on keyboards, and Alvin "Seeco" Patterson on percussion. The "I Threes", consisting of Judy Mowatt, Marcia Griffiths, and Marley's wife, Rita, provided backing vocals.

Kaya was recorded between January and April 1977 at Island Studios, London, and was produced by Bob Marley. It is The album's sound is more relaxed and laid back, than previous released, and is less militant both lyrically and musically than the Wailers' previous releases, with the album's songs typically revolving around love and marijuana, which resulted in criticism for 'going soft'.

The album's release coincided with the One Love Peace Concert, heralding Marley's triumphant return to Jamaica from exodus in London. Many of the songs present on this album, as well as its sister album Exodus, are rerecorded versions of older tracks present on the album "Soul Revolution Part II" and the "African Herbsman" compilation album. Kaya reached the top five in the UK album charts.

Check out the tracks from the album "Is This Love" and "Satisfy My Soul".
