Niscitam is the debut solo studio album by Australian singer songwriter Blake Scott, released in October 2020 via Wing Sing Records.
Niscitam is the debut solo album from Blake Scott, who is better known as a member of beloved Melbourne three-piece The Peep Tempel.
The album explores fantasy and memory, existential angst, and is the artist’s attempt to reconcile febrile hopes for a just and peaceful world against the wild and cataclysmic buffet before him.
The result is a musical salve for those enduring the pressures and mundanity of modern life against a backdrop of utopian dreams.
Niscitam was performed by Jacey Ashton (drums, percussion), Nick Finch (bass, piano, guitars, synth), Blake Scott (guitars, bass, vocals) and John Lee (synths).
Olivia Bartley sings harmonies on "Bone Heavy", "Love" and "Bullfloat Zen". All gang vocals and group harmonies performed by Jacey Ashton, Nick Finch, Olivia Bartley, Grace Kindellan and Andre Fazio.
All songs recorded and mixed by John Lee at Phaedra Studios, Coburg. Except drums for "Fever", recorded by Alex O'Gorman at Purple Wayne Studios, Collingwood.
This album is on black vinyl with a download code, pressed in Australia via Wing Sing Records.
