Benjamin Booker is the debut studio album by American singer-songwriter Benjamin Booker, released in August 2014 via ATO Records in the US and Rough Trade Records in the UK.

The album was recorded in 2013 at the Bomb Shelter studio in Nashville, which is an all-analogue studio with producer Andrija Tokic (Alabama Shakes).

Booker chose The Bomb Shelter as the place to record his album, as he wanted to record the album in analogue, which he stated in an interview: "I wanted to do the record analogue, not digital. So we went to The Bomb Shelter, a studio that is totally analogue and where other bands from our label, Alabama Shakes and Hurray For The Riff Raff, recorded their album. I knew the guy there was good… and analogue was important to me. If you want to put out an album on vinyl, you might as well do it right."

Booker, who had been playing live gigs as a duo with drummer Max Norton, arrived for the sessions with Norton, and the recording of the album was done initially with the drums and Booker’s parts. Producer Tokic bought in other musicians to flesh out the sound of the recordings before the album was mixed at the studio. The resulting recordings have a very organic feel to them.

The album was released to critical acclaim and peaked at #46 on the US Billboard 200 Albums chart, #10 on the US Alternative chart, and #15 on the US Rock charts.

Booker headed out on the road to promote the album with Max Norton on drums and Alex Spoto on basss.
