Alabama Shakes - Sound & Color

Sound & Color is the second studio album by American blues rock band Alabama Shakes, released in April 2015 via ATO Records in the US and Rough Trade in the UK.

Alabama Shakes formed in Athens, Alabama in 2009 and the band currently consists of Brittany Howard (lead vocals and rhythm guitar), Heath Fogg (lead guitar and vocals), Zac Cockrell (bass guitar) and Steve Johnson (drums, vocals, and percussion).

The band began recording their second album Sound & Color in late 2013, and released it in April 2015. The album debuted at #1 on the US Billboard 200 albums chart, and the album hit the Top 10 in Australia, UK, Netherlands and Switzerland.

Sound & Color was a critical success and received six Grammy nominations, including Album of the Year. It ultimately won 4 for Best Alternative Music Album, Best Engineered Album, Non-Classical, as well as Best Rock Performance and Best Rock Song for "Don't Wanna Fight". Four singles were released from the album with "Don't Wanna Fight" being the most successful, peaking at #2 on the US Billboard Adult Alternative Songs chart.

This double album is on 180 gram heavyweight vinyl with etching on Side D, housed in a gatefold sleeve with printed inner sleeves and download code, pressed in the UK via Rough Trade Records.
