Pyramids & Spirals is the fourth solo album by Australian blues musician Matt Taylor, originally released in March 1995 via Forever Records.
Considered the father of Australian blues, Matt Taylor began playing in The Bay City Union, one of nation’s first electric blues bands, before joining Wild Cherries and later the blues band Chain in September 1970. In between stints with various cults, over the years he has toured and recorded with Chain, formed Western Flyer, recorded five solo albums, and played with BB King, Muddy Waters, Albert King, John Mayall, Canned Heat and many more critically acclaimed musicians.
After giving up his career in music to save the planet, spending a year growing his own food, changing his diet, and and generally re-arranging his consciousness, Matt Taylor came back into the music business re-invigorated and ready to share his experiences.
Matt started Forever Records and has recorded many CD’s over the last 25 years. Matt has little regard for musical fashions and trends. He believes self expression opens up possibilities for Everyone to step back from the pack and view things as they really are. Does Matt regret not becoming a household name? He understands pioneers rarely get the land but participate in a wonderful adventure. “If anyone would have told me in 1966 that I’d still be writing and recording music today I would have thought “How wonderful”.
This album was recorded in 1995 by Matt Taylor (Vocals/Harmonica/Guitar) with accompanying instrumentalists.
Check out the tracks "Oz Boogie", "The Spiral", and "Fuhrer Bunker".
This CD comes in a jewel case and was made in Australia via Forever Records "Forever Collectors Series", individually numbered and autographed by Matt Taylor.
