FutureNever is the second solo studio album by Australian singer songwriter Daniel Johns, released in April 2022 via BMG.
Daniel Johns is an Australian musician, singer, and songwriter who is best known as the former front man of the rock band Silverchair. Silverchair formed in 1992 and went onto become one of Australia’s most successful rock bands of the 1990s and 2000s. The band went on hiatus in 2011 and Daniel Johns has embarked on various solo projects.
FutureNever will continue to scratch Johns' itch for collaboration, with "a few of [his] friends" jumping on the record, names he'll slowly release in the lead up to it's release. Johns says the record will be an "eclectic mix of music" and, given the breadth of material he has offered us in the past 25 years or so, it's anyone's guess what this will sound like.
The album has reached #1 on the Australian ARIA albums charts.
This album is a limited edition cassette tape in a blue coloured shell, pressed in Australia via BMG.
