Cybotron is the debut studio album by Australian electronic progressive rock band Cybotron, originally released in 1976 via Clear Light Of Jupiter Records.

Part man part machine, Cybotron was the synthesis of progressive rock and electronic music experimentation, conceived by pioneers of the Australian electronic underground, Steve Maxwell Von Braund and keyboardist Geoff Green, together they produced a series of mind-altering cosmic albums throughout the 1970s which set the tone for the minimal wave and electronic post punk scene of early 1980s Melbourne.

Part Tangerine Dream, part Ash Ra Tempel, Cybotron channelled the spirit of Krautrock to create their own unique brand of throbbing Komische electronica rivalling the futuristic vision of their German counterparts.

Cybotron released a self-titled album in 1976 on the Clear Light of Jupiter label which contained mainly synthesisers and saxophone. It was recorded at Armstrong Studios with Braund and Green producing, they used the same personnel as for Braund's solo album. Australian music historian Ian McFarlane noted that Cybotron "featured a mix of heavy synthesiser kinetics, organ drones and pulsating electronic beats".

The album features lead vocals by Jim Keyes and drums and keyboards by Gil Matthews.

This album is a 2014 reissue on limited blue cassette, featuring remastered audio from the original master tapes with new liner notes, pressed in Canada for Dual Planet.
