Bahdeni Nami is the second studio album by Syrian musician Omar Souleyman, released in July 2015 via Monkeytown Records.

Omar Souleyman is a musician from the village of Tell Tamer near the city of Ra's al-'Ayn in the northeastern region of Syria. He started his career as a part-time wedding singer in his native al-Hasakah Governorate, and while himself a Sunni Arab, he emphasises the influence its culturally diverse milieu has had on his style: "My music is from the community I come from – the Kurdish, the Ashuris, the Arabic, they're all in this community. Even Turkish because it's so near, it's just across the border. And even Iraqi."

Souleyman's sixth release but first "proper" studio album, Wenu Wenu, was colourful in its exuberance, a headlong rush into new love and produced by Kieran Hebden (aka Four Tet). But if Wenu Wenu was the upswing, Bahdeni Nami is the immediate aftermath, which isn't necessarily pretty and isn't always fun to listen to. It's still dabke—the popular Levantine Arab music traditionally accompanied by circle and line dancing—but it's heavier this time, both lyrically and musically.

Check out a couple tracks off the album.  Mawal Menzal, Bahdeni Nami, and Leil El Bareh.

This double album contains two black vinyl LP records in a gatefold sleeve, pressed in Germany.
