So, It’s Like That is the second studio album by American blues rock musician Joe Bonamassa, released in August, 2002 by J&R Adventures and Provogue Records.

Joe Bonamassa is an American blues rock guitarist, singer and songwriter.

When he was only 12 years old, Bonamassa opened for B.B. King. In the last 13 years Bonamassa has put out 15 solo albums through his independent record label J&R Adventures, of which 11 have reached #1 on the Billboard Blues charts.

Bonamassa has played alongside such artists as Stephen Stills, Eric Clapton, Blondie Chaplin, Foreigner, Buddy Guy, Steve Winwood, Warren Haynes, and Derek Trucks among others. His career highlights include performances at the Royal Albert Hall and a Grammy Award nomination in 2013 for his collaboration with Beth Hart on the duo’s sophomore album Seesaw. In addition to his music career, Joe Bonamassa runs a nonprofit organisation called the Keeping the Blues Alive Foundation, whose mission it is to further music education by funding scholarships and providing music education resources to schools in need.

So It's Like That officially signals his arrival as THE guitar monster in the making. It’s a 13 track declaration of Bonamassa's already well known instrumental wizardry augmented by his vastly improved vocals and now first rate song writing talents, all tracks being self penned, a rarity for Bonamassa.

Both Bonamassa's guitar playing and vocals are undeniably sensational, and his band is as tight and unrelenting as ever. Add talented band mates Eric Czar on bass and Kenny Kramme on drums and what you have here is an old fashioned battering ram type power trio with a sound that literally explodes in your speakers.

Their spectacular performances run the gamot from hard edged grooves (Lie #1, No Slack), to lighter acoustic shades (Waiting For Me, Never Say Goodbye, Mountain Time), to searing guitar (Pain And Sorrow), to hard rock (Takin' The Hit, The Hard Way), and a few points in between. For those fans looking for more straight forward blues tunes, I'm afraid only the title track offers this in the form of a mid-tempo shuffle.

Bonamassa manages to blend the gentle with the ferocious in a way that is, at several points on the set, absolutely brilliant. His fretwork at all times is confident and with purpose. Bonamassa means business and somehow maintains controlled discipline while playing at times with almost reckless abandon and unbridled fury.

Check out the tracks: So, It’s Like That; Pain And Sorrow; Waiting For Me and No Slack.
