Temet is the second studio album by Algerian blues rock band Imarhan, released in February 2018 via City Slang.

Temet is the follow up to Imarhan’s acclaimed, self-titled 2016 debut, which saw them tour the globe and support the likes of Kurt Vile, Tinariwen and Songhoy Blues.

The album features the single “Azzaman”, which the band describe as “...the passing of time and the handing over of a heritage by each generation. It’s about the importance of leaving the right legacy…”.

Rob Hughes reviewing the album for Uncut magazine rated the album 8 stars out of 10 writing “…Temet, translated as ‘Connections’ in Tamashek, manages to broaden their sound further, forging links to funk, soul and jazz. Crucially, though, they’ve retained the traditional rhythms that make them so captivating, from the syncopated grace of “Zinizjumegh” to the joyous desert grooves of “Tamudre”. Meanwhile, the influence of fellow pluralists Tinariwen (whose Eyadou AgLeche, cousin to Imarhan’s singer Sadam, is once again co-producer) continues to run deep…”.

Check out the tracks:  Ehad Wa Dagh”; “Azzaman”; “Tamudre”; and “Zinizjumegh”.

This LP record is on black vinyl with a printed insert and digital download code, pressed in Germany.
