The Bus Driver's Prayer & Other Stories is the seventh album by British singer-songwriter Ian Dury, originally released in January 1992 via Demon Records.

Ian Durry rose to fame as the frontman of Ian Dury and the Blockheads, a prominent wave act, noted for theirtheir first single "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll", which was named Single of the Week by NME on its release. It was soon followed by the album New Boots and Panties!!, which achieved platinum status. (Although it has been claimed that Dury coined the phrase "Sex & Drugs & Rock & Roll", a similar phrase had been used by Australian band Daddy Cool for the title of their 1972 album Sex, Dope & Rock'n'Roll: Teenage Heaven). The band built up a dedicated following in the UK and other countries and scored several hit singles, including "What a Waste", "Hit Me with Your Rhythm Stick" (which became a UK number one at the beginning of 1979, selling just short of a million copies) and "Reasons to be Cheerful, Part 3". Following the group's disbandment in 1982, Ian Durry pursued a solo career.

Picking up where Apples left off, even including the record's "The Bus Driver's Prayer", a cockney rewrite of the Lord's Prayer, as the title track, The Bus Driver's Prayer & Other Stories is a collection of character sketches and stories from Ian Dury. Considered one of Dury's often-overlooked gems, the album is a return to form after the albums without The Blockheads, featuring former bandmates Mickey Gallagher, Chaz Jankel, Davey Payne and John Turnbull, along with new collaborator, guitarist Merlin Rhys-Jones

Check out the tracks "That's Enough of That", "Poor Joey", "Poo-Poo In The Prawn" and "London Talking".

This LP record is reissued (June 2015) on 180 gram heavyweight vinyl with a plain white inner sleeve and plastic dust cover (unsealed), pressed in Europe by Demon Records.
